This CD-ROM provides an up-to-date, authoritative source of health information for workers in developing countries who have access to computers but limited access to the internet.
Welcome to issue
9 of the e-TALC Health Development CD-ROM. This is the largest issue of e-TALC
to date, and is packed with resources on a wide variety of topics. In this
issue you will find articles from our regular contributors as well as information
donated by many new organisations and individuals.
As with previous issues of e-TALC, Issue 9 includes carefully selected articles from a number of journals such as the British Medical Journal, The Lancet, and PLOS Medicine, as well as many others. In addition we have a wide variety of articles resources from a large number of respected sources. We are also delighted to be able to include the full text of the WHO's Hospital Care for Children and full texts and extracts from several other books.
If a newsletter or other item particularly interests you, do write or email your full postal address to the source under 'Contact Details' to request a hard copy. This will be important if you are attempting to set up an on-going resource centre.
For the first time we are also able to include on e-TALC a CD based version of the TALC catalogue for users without access to the internet. We stock a wide range of free and low cost books and accessories aimed at workers in developing countries. Our entire product range can be viewed, and orders can be placed using the printable order form if you are unable to go online..
We are always keen to receive feedback on
the e-TALC CD-ROM as this helps us to improve the contents of the CD-ROMs
in order to meet your needs better.
We
would be grateful if you could fill in our questionnaire and return this to
TALC.
