The Ninth Annual ELT Conference (2009) focuses on effective ways to address current challenges in ELT.  Three major aspects of English Language Teaching will be central to the discussion: curriculum, assessment and independent learning. Participants interested in such diverse yet interrelated critical issues will find this professional event a great opportunity to share and exchange innovative ideas and experiences with fellow colleagues in the field. Since these issues are often interrelated, presenters could tackle one, or a combination of the three areas.

Criteria for accepting proposals:

 

A proposal will only be considered if:

  • It has not been presented at any other regional conferences.

  •  It is directly relevant to the conference theme

  • It has a clear focus and communicates original ideas

  • It reports on a recently completed research project or a significant phase of the research

  • It has practical use for the audience, and if theoretical, must include useful applications

  • It is linguistically clear and accurate

  • It reflects what the speaker is going to talk about  

  • It is submitted within the deadline set for proposal submission. Any proposal submitted after the deadline, will not be considered

 
   
 
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
 
   

 

All presenters will receive free registration for the conference which includes:

  • attending all conference sessions except the certified workshops

  • the conference package

  • a certificate of presentation and attendance

  • free lunches and refreshments for the two days of the conference

  • the conference proceedings (will be sent to presenters after the conference)
