Module 1: Preparation of scientific documents |
This module concentrates on the production of scientific documents. It includes the use of styles and tables in Microsoft Word, the formating of headings, paragraphs and bibliography. We also cover the production of good graphics both in printed documents and for oral presentations. [ Go to Module 1 ] |
Module 2:

The second part of the course includes a deeper exploration of the power of Microsoft Excel; in particular, formulae, pivot tables and other advanced features will be explored. [ Go to Module 2 ] |
Module 3:

The third module of the course explores the use of Internet for scientific purposes. It includes sections on searches, file format, bibliography, and creating scientific content for the internet (basic HTML). [ Go to Module 3 ] |
Module 4:

In the last module, the students will lean the principle behind
the construction of databases and relational databases. |
Each module requires six 2hr-sessions before completion. During the last 2hr-session of a module, a quizz will be given. The final mark will be a weighted average of the individual marks for each module as follows:
